Emerging Issues: The Future of Human Rights & International Law

Join us for our once-a-month discussion series at the Park City Senior Center. Led by member, Bob Shallenberg, each Emerging Issues session will center around a topical or political issue and feature a 30-minute introductory video followed by 30 minutes of civil discussion.
April’s video and discussion, entitled “The Future of Human Rights & International Law,” will seek to answer the following questions:
- As democracy and human rights retreat globally – and the U.S. pulls back – how can civil society and legal norms remain effective in a divided world?
- What is the role and of international law in this era of impunity?
