FRANCE Part 1 – BORDEAUX, BURGUNDY & CHAMPAGNE (pages 137-142; 173-226) 

Today’s class will focus on some of the world’s most revered wines, specifically on some of the world’s greatest (and most expensive!) Cabernet blends in Bordeaux, as well as amazing Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs in Burgundy. We will seek to interpret how these wines are classified so we can better understand their importance as well as find versions that are delicious yet relatively affordable. Then, we will look at Champagne, the world’s greatest sparkling wine.
