Emerging Issues: Making America Healthy Again

June 18 @ 1:45 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us for our once-a-month discussion series at the Park City Senior Center. Led by member, Bob Shallenberg, each Emerging Issues session will center around a topical or political issue and feature a 30-minute introductory video followed by 45 minutes of civil discussion.
June’s Emerging Issues discussion will focus on the Make America Healthy Again initiative and investigate whether calls for national health renewal signal real change or partisan messaging.

Chronic disease and health inequities impose enormous economic and human costs; solving them requires shared purpose. As Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F Kennedy, Jr. oversees the Trump administrations agencies of the Food and Drug Administration, The National Institutes of Health, the Center for Disease Control and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This session will explore his controversial efforts related to vaccines, autism and healthy eating.

Join us on Thursday, June 18th at 1:45 PM at the Park City Senior Center for Emerging Issues. No registration is required, simply show up!
