Emerging Issues Discussion 5 of 7

Join us for a monthly discussion series at the Park City Senior Center. Led by member, Bob Shallenberg, each Emerging Issues discussion will center around a topical or political issue and feature a 30-minute introductory video followed by 30 minutes of civil discussion.
The fifth discussion, entitled “The US National Debt,” will revolve around the following subtopics:

- US National Debt
- The Deficit
- Modern Monetary Theory (MMT)
- How Did We Get Here?
- What About Other Countries (Greece, Portugal, France, Japan)?
- The US Treasury Market
- Inflation
- Impact of Being the Reserve Currency
- Can We Grow Our Way Out of the Debt?
- What Can or Should Be Done?
