Emerging Issues: Advances in Neuroscience

Join us for our once-a-month discussion series at the Park City Senior Center. Led by member, Bob Shallenberg, each Emerging Issues session will center around a topical or political issue and feature a 30-minute introductory video followed by 45 minutes of civil discussion.

As we look at the tools that allow for ever expanding research into the brain, some mysteries are being solved, while others are not. We will look at diseases of the brain, as well as the ways in which our daily activities can be useful in keeping our brains functioning well for the longest period of time. We will also look beyond the physical brain to better understand how the “mind” involves other aspects of our physical and conscious being.
