Cope With Cancer Support Group
Led by renowned cancer researcher, Dr. Linda Miller, the Park City Senior Center’s Cope With Cancer support group will provide a forum to discuss the diagnosis, find mutual support among participants, and learn to manage cancer as part of the new normal of life. In doing so, we will provide a platform for patients, family, and friends of both active cancer and long-term survivors to express their feelings, fears, frustrations, and hope for the future. The program will provide information on the diagnosis and treatment available and will have an open format for questions and issues of concern. We will create a library of easy-to-understand and summarized articles on the most prevalent cancers and their treatment. This group will create friendships in the community of those affected cancer and will provide avenues of the support so needed for navigating the journey of life with cancer.
